Gratitude Letter 2020

“Vision in Action”

Blessings

Our prayer is that this letter finds you doing well. This time of year is always a reminder of God’s love for the world and the gift we have in Jesus. He has been faithful and caring towards all of us in these difficult days.  We would like to share a few things with you.

Family:

Thank you for praying for Talsy and Ruthy, as they faced COVID back in May-June, also for the wellbeing of our family and ministry.

Last year I asked the Lord for a Sabbath year, not knowing how it would look like, but it has been a year of change for all of us.

Moises and Jose decided to move to our province, settling in David and Volcan, for they moved the company to work virtually.

Ruth and Teo moved to their new home, debt-free as they prayed to God.

We saw more of Talsy this year than last year; by making medical transfers, God allowed us to enjoy her company.

As a family, God has allowed us to bless many more families than in 2019 through the ministry.

Our hearts are a little sad for our Christmas will be so different from the previous ones. The government has called for lockdown from the 25th-28th and from Jan 1st-4th. So each one of us will spend Christmas & New Year at our homes.

Ministry:

To see back on how this year started and how it is ending, the ministry has gone through adaptations and we are grateful that since the beginning of ministry we learned through mentors that have poured their knowledge and wisdom, that we needed to learn to be flexible. Flexible in adapting to circumstances but not in biblical values, this has changed the attitude in which we face situations, and we have tried our best to finish this year well.

We were so worried about the provision for the missionaries in the field on a monthly basis for this year since the trips had to be put on hold, but our Lord has been so faithful to provide for them and for projects that they have been able to continue.

Grateful for:

  • Holding the first Haggai Experience held in our hometown David after many years of silence, where 25 leaders were inspired to be transformational agents in their marketplace.

  • Together with “His Hands Int’l Mission” continue to install water filters in the Hacha community, which has opened hearts for the Living Water.

  • Just before COVID hit our country, God allowed us to visit one of our partner churches in the state and from 5 mission trips, one was able to come and serve in Hacha.

  • During COVID, the training had to go virtual, trips had to be put on hold but we were able to see the youth in the mountains taking the lead on visiting the new areas, taking ownership of the vision, and going as far as hiking two days to reach to places like Bongo, a far place in need of the Word.

  • To see the church building in Dayra 2 almost finished is a blessing.

  • Be part of virtually updating Haggai International Facilitators, more than 30 so far.

  • God allowed you and us to bless more than 150 families with food bags, as well as providing finances to families with specific needs, some that had to be put on hold from their working places. Before and after the hurricanes hit the highlands of two provinces of our country funds were provided to supply needs.

  • The missionary’s safety and protection as they ministered in the different places, as well as for David and Cinthia as they have gone to the mountains to see how they are doing.

God’s faithfulness and care have been endless and none of these things could have been done without your generosity. Therefore we are thankful for you, more than a partnership, for your friendship for we can see God’s love in you.

Our prayer is that in the coming year we may continue to see Him, every step of the way.

May God bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you; may His mercy, grace, and peace during this lovely season and the next year be with you.  There are no words to express gratitude but “Thank you, Lord”.
In Him and until He comes back again.

Talsy, David, and family.
